CMCA 2025 Volunteer/Workshop Host Application

Those who request scholarship assistance must agree to serve as a volunteer workshop host for the Summit. The scholarship reduces the registration amount to $125. Volunteers are needed as workshop hosts to help facilitate the workshop and support the workshop presenter. The application below provides an opportunity for applicants to select which workshops they would like to attend. Each scholarship recipient must serve as a workshop host for a minimum of 2 workshops, likely 3 workshops.

Summary of WORKSHOP HOST duties

Arrive at CMCA table10 minutes before each workshop to pick up a workshop packet and water for the presenter. Meet and greet your workshop presenter and let them know you are there to assist. Set up attendance sheet & pen near the door.
Greet all attendees as they enter and have them sign the attendance sheet. Remain by the door to greet late guests. Distribute any handouts and workshop evaluations as people enter.
Begin workshop on time.
Serve as a timekeeper. Your time cues are on the back of the timecard. Be sure to wear or bring a watch or cell phone to keep time. Each workshop is 90 minutes.
If any tech or other issues come up during the workshop time, locate tech or CMCA support to assist you.
Collect all workshop evaluations and extra workshop handouts and return them to the CMCA table.
