Nationwide Day of Second Chances
CMCA is excited to partner with Better Together on the first annual Nationwide Day of Second Chances on April 30, when church-led coalitions in cities all across America will come together and host simultaneous Second Chances Job Fairs for neighbors who have been incarcerated.
We are excited to connect our friends and partners with this opportunity to celebrate and serve our neighbors who are returning home. We would love your help identifying a church partner who will open its doors and host a Second Chances Job Fair in your community.
When a fair comes to your area, we also invite you to serve alongside us and volunteer at your local job fair.
Our partner, Better Together, will lead churches through a detailed and live online training, and supply all of the materials and tutorials needed to launch a successful fair. It’s free – all churches have to do is provide the heart to love people and the hands to bring the fair to life.
The trainings are coming up quickly, with the first offering on January 30, so we appreciate your help sharing this opportunity soon.
We will also be connecting with the churches participating and introducing them to our ministry, as a further way to engage, serve, and further the mission of spreading dignity through opportunity.
Will you join us and help spread the word?
