Heather Rice-Minus serves as vice president of government affairs at Prison Fellowship, where she directs lobbying, research, and coalition building on pivotal criminal justice issues at the federal level. She has contributed to stories in outlets including Christianity Today, the Marshall Project, CBN News, and World Magazine. Heather is a graduate of George Mason University School of Law and is a member of the Virginia State Bar. Heather will be the keynote speaker for the Bail Reform Policy Forum, Friday May 17, 2018
Rev. Jon Kelly gave his life to Christ in a prison cell in Philadelphia. Upon release, he attended Christian Stronghold Baptist Church in West Philadelphia and served in youth ministry. Jon graduated from Moody Bible Institute. He now serves as the Lead Pastor of Chicago West Bible Church and is a Colson Scholar earning his Master’s in Biblical Studies at Wheaton College. Jon will be the keynote speaker for the opening plenary session, Friday night May 17th, at 7pm.
Amy Williams is a 24-year youth ministry veteran, who follows her passion to minister to teens involved in gangs, youth on probation/parole and those lost in the criminal justice system – at the core of which life-on-life mentoring is her key strategy. Amy has appeared as a guest on the O’Reilly Factor and chosen as Huck’s Hero on TBN’s Mike Huckabee Show. Amy teaches and trains churches and ministries across the country. Amy will be the keynote speaker on Saturday morning, May 18th at 9:00am.
Dr. Harold (Dean) Trulear is an ordained American Baptist minister and serves as Associate Professor of Applied Theology at Howard University. He is the Healing Communities National Director and Director of the Healing Communities Prison Ministry and Prisoner Reentry Project of the Philadelphia Leadership Foundation. Dean also serves as a Fellow at the Center for Public Justice in Washington, DC. Dean will be the keynote speaker for the closing plenary session on Saturday afternoon, May 18th at 3:30pm.
